As part of the Craft Cluster Initiative of NIFT, with active support from the Ministry of Rural Development, Office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts & Handlooms) and National Centre for Jute Development, the Fashion Communication Class of ’20 at NIFT Chennai embarked on our journey to the town of silken dreams – Arani.
As part of this initiative, groups of us were to study the craft for a period of 2 weeks and document the same through a video documentary and a printed publication.
